Prostate Screening Test at Home in Dubai

About the Package
This entry-level prostate check pairs total and free PSA with a full urine analysis — 28 markers in all. Total PSA gauges overall prostate-specific antigen, while the free PSA reading and ratio help distinguish benign enlargement from findings that warrant follow-up. The urine panel screens for infection, blood and other urinary signals that often accompany prostate and lower urinary-tract symptoms. It suits men over 50, or younger men with a family history or urinary complaints wanting a first-line screen.
What is it? The Prostate Screening Test is a first-line men's panel measuring total and free PSA (prostate-specific antigen) alongside a complete urine analysis, often called a basic prostate check.

Prostate Screening Test: purpose, preparation and results
Why take the Prostate Screening Test?
- Establish a PSA baseline for men over 50, or earlier with a family history of prostate disease
- Investigate urinary symptoms such as weak flow, urgency, night-time urination or discomfort
- Combine PSA with urine screening to check for infection or blood alongside prostate markers
How to prepare for the Prostate Screening Test
No fasting is needed for this test. Avoid vigorous cycling and ejaculation for a couple of days beforehand, as both can temporarily raise PSA. Postpone if you have an active urine infection. For the urine sample, a clean mid-stream catch gives the most reliable analysis.
Understanding your Prostate Screening Test results
A raised total PSA, or a low free-to-total PSA ratio, may prompt further evaluation, though benign enlargement, infection and recent activity can all elevate PSA. Abnormal urine findings such as blood, nitrites or white cells suggest infection or irritation. A single result is not a diagnosis — discuss findings with a doctor to decide on next steps.

Total PSA measures all prostate-specific antigen in the blood. Free PSA is the portion not bound to proteins. The ratio between them helps a doctor judge whether a raised total PSA is more likely benign enlargement or something needing further assessment.
No. A raised PSA can result from benign enlargement, infection, recent cycling or ejaculation, or a medical procedure. It signals the need for a doctor's review and possibly further tests, not a diagnosis on its own.
No fasting is required. However, avoid strenuous cycling and ejaculation for about two days beforehand and postpone if you have a urine infection, since these can temporarily push PSA higher and skew the result.
Urinary and prostate symptoms often overlap. The urine panel screens for infection, blood, protein and crystals, helping tell apart a bladder or urinary-tract issue from a prostate one and giving your doctor a fuller picture.
Screening is commonly considered from age 50, or from 40–45 for men with a family history of prostate cancer or of African descent. If you have urinary symptoms at any age, a check is reasonable — discuss timing with your doctor.
A DHA-licensed nurse collects your blood and a urine sample at home, office or hotel in Dubai, in about 20 minutes. Doctor-reviewed reports arrive on WhatsApp and email within roughly 24 hours. It is self-pay in AED.
