Can a midwife deliver my baby at home?
No. We do not run home births and our midwives do not deliver babies. Your birth belongs at your maternity hospital with the team looking after you. We visit before the birth and after it.
How much does a midwife home visit cost?
We confirm the price with the booking. Send your dates on WhatsApp and we come back with whether we can cover them and what the visit costs, in writing, before anyone comes to your home.
Why is there no price on this page?
Because midwife visits are arranged one at a time and availability decides the visit. The tiers we can price straight away are the Care Companion, AED 75 an hour with a four-hour minimum, and the DHA-licensed nurse, quoted in writing after the free first visit.
What if you cannot cover my dates?
We say so straight away. Much of what families want from a home visit, pregnancy logs, feeding help and the first weeks routine, is done by a Care Companion (CNA + BLS, a trained carer, not a nurse). Wound care, stitches and bleeding checks need a DHA-licensed nurse.
When should I go to hospital instead of waiting for a visit?
Bleeding, the baby moving less than usual, a severe headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling in late pregnancy, a fever, or your waters breaking. Go to your maternity hospital or call 998. A home visit is for checks, not for emergencies.
