- It has been 2 weeks or more since a possible exposure
- You want a routine or pre-relationship check, privately
- You need a repeat test to confirm an earlier result
- You want HIV and hepatitis checked in one visit
Do something else first if
- Exposure in the last 72 hours — PEP from a government hospital first (see our guide), then test at 4–6 weeks
- Symptoms of acute illness now — a doctor visit first, testing as part of it
- Visa or employment medicals — those must be done at a government centre
Which HIV test, and when
An HIV test at home in Dubai works the same way as in a clinic — a small blood sample — but the sample is taken at your address by a licensed nurse and sent to a DHA-approved laboratory. Nothing about the visit identifies what is being tested.
Timing matters. The HIV p24 antigen test can detect infection from roughly 2–4 weeks after exposure; combined antigen/antibody screening is reliable from about 4–6 weeks. If your exposure was in the last 72 hours, a test is not the first step — post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is, and in Dubai PEP is only available from government hospitals. Read our guide, go today, and book the test for 4–6 weeks later.
What is in each option
- HIV p24 antigen — single test, AED 99, results in 8 hours
- HIV + hepatitis screening panel — HIV, hepatitis B surface antigen, hepatitis B antibody, hepatitis C and related markers (36 biomarkers), AED 199, results in 24–48 hours
- Add-ons on request: syphilis (RPR), herpes 1/2, chlamydia — quoted before the visit

About HIV testing at home
More questions? WhatsApp us — reply in ~3 minutes, confidentially.
Is an HIV test at home really confidential?
Yes. The nurse arrives in plain clothes with an unmarked kit, nothing on the visit says what is being tested, and the report goes only to the contact you give us. We do not share results with employers, insurers or anyone else.
How soon after exposure can I test?
The p24 antigen test detects most infections from about 2–4 weeks; combined screening is reliable from 4–6 weeks. If you test early we recommend a repeat at 6 weeks to be sure. Within 72 hours of exposure, PEP comes first — it is only available from government hospitals in Dubai; our guide explains where to go.
How much does an HIV test at home cost in Dubai?
AED 99 for the HIV p24 antigen test, AED 199 for the HIV + hepatitis panel — nurse home collection included, no separate visit fee.
Do I need to fast?
No. Any time of day, no preparation.
What happens if the result is positive?
A doctor calls you the same day, explains the result, arranges confirmatory testing and refers you to specialist care in Dubai. Treatment today is highly effective — the important thing is knowing early.
Can I use this for a visa medical?
No — residence-visa medicals must be done at a government-approved centre. This service is for personal, confidential testing.
