What hours does an overnight nurse work?
A twelve-hour night shift, usually around 8pm to 8am, set to suit the household. The nurse is awake for the shift, not sleeping in a spare room. If you also want daytime hours, we run a day nurse and a night nurse, twelve hours each, sharing the same notes and plan.
How much does an overnight nurse cost?
Nights are quoted after the home assessment, on an hourly basis that starts at AED 100 an hour. The assessment is AED 250 and comes off your first invoice. Medicines, dressings and supplies are itemised at cost. We confirm everything in writing before the first night.
Will it be the same nurse every night?
A primary nurse owns the case and works most of the nights. A named backup is briefed on the same file for holidays and sick days, so nobody arrives cold at 8pm.
Is this a nurse or a carer?
A DHA-licensed nurse. If the nights are not clinical, if the need is company, help to the bathroom and a calm presence, a Care Companion (CNA + BLS, a trained carer, not a nurse) costs less and is often the better fit. The home assessment tells you which one you need.
What happens if something goes wrong in the night?
The night plan lists what to watch for and what to do. The nurse can reach our doctor on the file at any hour, and calls 998 for chest pain, stroke signs, heavy bleeding or trouble breathing. You get a written account of the night in the morning.
