About the Package

The Fitness Profile is a 73-marker panel built for active people and gym-goers who want to see how their body is coping with training load. Alongside a full organ, iron and metabolic screen, it measures muscle-stress markers such as creatine kinase and LDH, plus the recovery-related hormones cortisol and testosterone. It suits anyone ramping up training, plateauing despite hard work, or wanting a performance baseline. Sample collection is at home in Dubai.

What is it? A multi-panel fitness and performance blood test, sometimes called a sports or athlete health screen, combining muscle-recovery markers with a full body organ, hormone and iron check.

Fitness Profile: purpose, preparation and results

Why take the Fitness Profile?

  • Baseline your recovery and metabolic health before starting or intensifying a training programme.
  • Investigate stalled progress, unusual soreness, or persistent fatigue despite consistent workouts.
  • Track how heavy training affects your iron stores, hormones and liver and kidney function over time.

How to prepare for the Fitness Profile

Fasting is required. Please avoid food for 10 to 12 hours before your appointment, with only water allowed. Because creatine kinase and LDH can spike after exercise, skip intense workouts for 24 to 48 hours before your draw so muscle-stress markers reflect your baseline rather than a recent session.

Understanding your Fitness Profile results

Raised creatine kinase or LDH can reflect recent muscle stress or incomplete recovery, while low testosterone, high cortisol or low ferritin may point to overtraining or under-fuelling. Metabolic, liver and kidney markers are read together for the wider picture. A doctor reviews your report and flags anything needing follow-up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anything else? Ask on WhatsApp — we usually reply in three minutes.

  • Reports are ready within about 24 hours and sent to you on WhatsApp and email as a doctor-reviewed PDF. Because this is a large 73-marker panel across several sample tubes, occasional markers may take marginally longer if a lab repeat is needed.

  • Yes. The panel includes fasting blood sugar and a lipid profile, so a 10 to 12 hour overnight fast with only water is needed. Fasting keeps your glucose and cholesterol readings accurate.

  • Yes, we recommend no strenuous exercise for 24 to 48 hours beforehand. Hard training temporarily raises creatine kinase and LDH, which could make normal muscle activity look like a problem on your report.

  • No. It suits anyone who trains regularly, from recreational gym-goers to endurance and strength athletes. It is equally useful if you feel your recovery or energy is not matching your effort.

  • It gives supporting signals rather than a single verdict. Patterns such as low testosterone, elevated cortisol, falling ferritin or lingering muscle markers can suggest inadequate recovery, which the reviewing doctor interprets alongside your symptoms.

  • A DHA-licensed nurse visits your home, office or hotel across Dubai and completes the draw in around 20 minutes. Same-morning and next-day slots are usually available, and everything is self-pay in AED.
