About the Package

The second rung of the women's ladder, this 92-marker fasting panel adds everything the Basic tier leaves out of a routine annual: a full lipid profile with cholesterol ratios, a complete iron study with ferritin and TIBC, folate, and a complete urine analysis. Alongside it you still get sugar and HbA1c, blood count, thyroid function, vitamin D, B12 and the liver, kidney and electrolyte panels. This is the tier most women should start from if they want heart risk and nutrition covered properly.

What is it? A complete women's annual blood test covering sugar, a full lipid profile, blood count, thyroid, vitamins, a full iron study, major organs and urine.

Active Female Health Check: purpose, preparation and results

Why take the Active Female Health Check?

  • The standard yearly check when you want cholesterol and iron stores included
  • Fatigue, hair shedding or heavy periods where ferritin and folate matter
  • A family history of high cholesterol, heart disease or diabetes

How to prepare for the Active Female Health Check

Fasting is required — no food for 10 to 12 hours before the draw, since the lipid profile and fasting sugar both need it; water is fine. A urine sample is collected at the same visit, so avoid emptying your bladder immediately before the nurse arrives.

Understanding your Active Female Health Check results

An abnormal lipid profile or a high LDL/HDL ratio flags cardiovascular risk; low ferritin with a low transferrin saturation confirms depleted iron stores even when haemoglobin is normal; and the urine analysis can reveal infection, protein or glucose loss the blood panels miss. A BestDOC doctor reviews the full set.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anything else? Ask on WhatsApp — we usually reply in three minutes.

  • It includes fasting blood sugar, which is only accurate after 10 to 12 hours without food. Fasting keeps the metabolic markers reflecting your true baseline rather than a recent meal.

  • Ferritin and TIBC to complete the iron study, folic acid, and a complete urine analysis — 34 extra markers for AED 100 more.

  • Ferritin measures stored iron and falls long before haemoglobin does. Low ferritin with normal haemoglobin is a common and treatable cause of fatigue and hair shedding in women, and the Basic tier does not measure it.

  • The reproductive hormones vary across the cycle, so note the first day of your last period when you book. Metabolic, organ and nutritional markers are unaffected and stay valid on any day.

  • Reports are typically ready in about 24 hours and delivered on WhatsApp and email, with a doctor's review flagging anything outside the expected range.

  • A DHA-licensed nurse visits your home, office or hotel across Dubai and completes the draw in around 20 minutes. Payment is self-pay in AED; we do not process insurance.
