The drip, explained
What is the Vitamin C 1000 IV drip?
A standard dose of vitamin C, delivered directly into the blood, in 30 minutes. For monthly maintenance, not for treating a cold.
Vitamin C by mouth has an absorption limit. Above a few hundred milligrams, the gut absorbs no more and passes the rest. Most of a high-dose tablet is not absorbed.
The drip delivers 1,000mg directly, in 25 to 35 minutes, in half a litre of saline. It is not a stimulant. A DHA-licensed nurse sets it up at home. If a cold has already started, book Immunity Booster instead, which has five times the dose.

How much does a Vitamin C IV drip cost in Dubai?
AED 299 for a single drip, including the nurse, the visit and the kit. A pack of 2 is AED 568 and a pack of 4 is AED 1,076, so AED 269 a drip. One of our two lowest-priced drips. No call-out fee.
What are the side effects?
A cool feeling in the arm as it goes in, sometimes a small bruise at the cannula site. Tell the doctor if you have had kidney stones or have been told you have iron overload.
Vitamin C 1000 or Immunity Booster?
This is a standard dose for monthly maintenance, AED 299, 30 minutes. Immunity Booster is 5,000mg plus zinc, glutamine and B vitamins, AED 649, for when a cold is starting. If you are well, book this one. If you have a sore throat, book Immunity Booster.
How is this different from oral vitamin C?
Oral vitamin C peaks at about 220 µmol/L in blood — the gut limits absorption above that. IV vitamin C reaches 10–25× higher peak plasma levels, briefly, then is excreted. Two different exposure profiles.
Will this make me feel jittery?
No. Vitamin C is not a stimulant. Most clients feel a clean immune-system lift rather than energy as such.
How often should I do this?
For prevention, monthly is plenty for most adults. At the first sign of a bug, two sessions 48 hours apart is the typical pattern.
Will this prevent COVID or flu?
Vitamin C supports the immune layer but does not prevent infection. It does shorten and soften the course of viral illnesses in some studies, especially when started early.
Is this safe long-term?
At 1,000 mg, yes — well below the threshold where kidney stone or iron-overload risk becomes meaningful. Mega-doses (over 7.5g) need a clinical protocol.
Will my insurance cover it?
No — IV therapy is elective wellness care and is self-pay. We do not bill insurers directly, and pricing is confirmed before booking.
