The drip, explained
What is the Hydration Express IV drip?
A litre of saline with vitamin B12. The simplest drip we offer, and the most booked in summer.
Dehydration has simple causes: a long flight, a day in the heat, hard exercise, alcohol. Drinking a litre of water takes two to four hours to absorb, and if you are nauseous, it does not stay down.
The drip delivers a litre of hospital-grade saline in 25 to 35 minutes, with vitamin B12 at the end. Nothing else is added. A DHA-licensed nurse sets it up at home, in a hotel, or at the office.
Who books it
- Heat. Working outdoors, a day at the beach, running in summer. Headache and no appetite by evening.
- After a long flight. Aircraft cabin air is very dry. A litre of saline after landing restores what was lost.
- Before or after hard exercise. Marathon, long cycle, tournament. Thirty minutes before or after.
- Fasting. After iftar, when drinking water is not enough. Saline has no calories.

How much does a Hydration IV drip cost in Dubai?
AED 189 for a single drip, including the nurse, the visit and the kit. A pack of 2 is AED 359 and a pack of 4 is AED 680, so AED 170 a drip. The cheapest drip we run. No call-out fee.
What are the side effects?
A cool feeling in the arm as the saline goes in, and sometimes a small bruise at the cannula site. It is the same saline used in hospitals.
Hydration Express or Jet Lag Relief?
Both use a litre of saline. Jet Lag Relief adds B vitamins, magnesium and glutathione for tiredness and poor sleep after a long flight. If you only need rehydration, book this one at AED 189. If you also need to sleep and concentrate tomorrow, book Jet Lag Relief.
How much faster is this than drinking water?
IV saline bypasses absorption — the litre is in the bloodstream within 30 minutes. Oral rehydration of the same volume takes 2–4 hours, and not all of it reaches the cellular level.
Will it help my hangover?
It helps the dehydration part. For nausea and headache, Hangover Rescue is the better choice — it adds anti-emetic and pain relief.
Can I exercise after?
Yes. Hydration Express is often used before workouts. Wait 30 minutes after the line is out before strenuous activity.
How often is too often?
Most clients run it once a week or less. Daily IV hydration is not necessary for healthy adults — water and electrolytes by mouth handle the routine load.
Will this break a fast?
Pure saline is calorie-free. For Ramadan or intermittent-fasting protocols, check with your imam or clinician — the rules vary by interpretation.
Will my insurance cover it?
No — IV therapy is elective wellness care and is self-pay. We do not bill insurers directly, and pricing is confirmed before booking.
